Staff Appreciation Week

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is coming early this year!!!         It’s Happening March 30th – April 3rd!

PARENTS – WE NEED YOUR HELP!  This year, we are putting our TSAW budget towards revamping the Teacher/Staff Lounge!  It’ll be getting an uplifting facelift to help give our staff a more functional, welcoming, relaxing and all around beautiful space to enjoy in between caring for our children. 

After conducting a staff survey, we discovered that most of their existing appliances/items aren’t operating safely/efficiently so this redesign will allow the space to be more functional and aesthetically pleasing with matching (and sturdy) furniture. We have put together an Amazon shopping list to pull together the most wanted items.

Please consider making a donation by purchasing an item on the wishlist to contribute to the lounge.  Many of the items are very inexpensive and would make a major difference to the everyday lives of our teachers and staff.    Please check it out! All donated items will be recorded and we will be making a dedication area in the lounge to acknowledge the purchase/generosity.  Please make all purchases before February 28th in order for the TSAW team to budget and allocate the balance accordingly.  All items are set to ship to chair’s house where they will be stored until setup/remodel weekend which is planned for March 28th!

Not sure you want to make a full commitment?  A creative idea would be to pool together with friends/classmates in order to make a donation.  

HOW TO DONATE:  Please also remember to complete your purchase through Amazon Smile so that CSS gets a percentage of the sales!  Basically, FIRST use the above link, add item(s)to cart, signout, THEN use and go to your shopping cart, make sure you have Center Street School PTA selected as your charitable organization and FINALLY complete your purchase and 0.5% of the purchase will come back to CSS! It all adds up! 🙂

I’D RATHER DONATE MY TIME:   Beyond items, we will also need manpower to assemble and setup this redesign.  There are lots of shifts and any time you can spare is much appreciated!

Please email if you have any office supply discounts that we could use to purchase seating for the lounge.  Currently the lounge has 8 Herman Miller chairs (previously donated) and these are the staff favorites and only “comfortable” seating that they have.  Based on this feedback, along with the hefty retail price of these chairs, we would like to expand the seating to have these chairs for all to sit at, while also create a matching aesthetic.
